Selected Poems is a fine press edition of the principal poems of John Keats, including the major odes and narrative works of his mature period. First published between 1817 and 1820, these poems remain among the most celebrated achievements of English Romantic poetry and continue to occupy a central place in the literary canon. 

John Keats (1795–1821), poet and one of the central figures of the English Romantic movement, produced in a remarkably short life a body of work distinguished by musical language, sensuous imagery, and philosophical depth. His poetry explores beauty, transience, desire, mortality, and the power of the imagination with unusual intensity and formal grace. Published by Woodbank Press in Warsaw in 2026, this edition is printed in octavo format. The text is composed in Brunel Text Roman No. 2, a typeface derived from letterforms originally cut by John Isaac Drury for Elizabeth Caslon around 1796.

The choice of typography is central to the design of this edition. The restrained neoclassical character of Brunel places it naturally within the typographic traditions of the late Georgian and Regency period, making it especially appropriate for Keats.

The sheets were printed on Fedrigoni Old Mill paper, chosen for its tactile surface and quiet visual character, qualities particularly well suited to the printing of poetry.

The edition is limited to 25 numbered copies. Each volume is hand-bound in leather with marbled boards, gilt lettering and decoration to the spine, hand-marbled endpapers, and is housed in a custom-made slipcase. The binding was executed by Krzysztof Cofalik using traditional techniques and materials selected for permanence and durability.

The restrained typographic design, generous margins, and carefully balanced page proportions reflect the principles of the modern private press movement while acknowledging the traditions of British bookmaking of the late Georgian and Regency periods.
